An introduction to piping and materials used to install various piping systems, with an emphasis on solar thermal energy applications. Topics include analysis and characteristics of the most commonly used piping system materials – copper, steel and polyvinylchloride (PVC); best methods to join these materials; and calculation and proper assemblage of basic piping projects.
Prequisite: COL 090, ENG 090 and MAT 090 or satisfactory placement test score. Special Requirements: Must possess physical ability to use power tools. \ Offered periodically |
