Program outcomes
The students at Greenfield Community College and those in the ADN program are an ethically, economically and socially diverse group of individuals of all ages united for one overall purpose: to pursue excellence in their chosen fields. In addition, our student population reflects varied educational preparation, some having earned GEDs, high school diplomas, and college degrees in other fields prior to entering nursing.
As stated in the college’s Principles of Education, “Members of the GCC community have the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that empower them to clarify values, express ideas, solve problems and embrace learning as a life-long process.”
The specific nursing curriculum is organized and based on concepts and principles aspired to by GCC’s Principles of Education. The curriculum design flows from these principles as seen below.
