This year, GCC is participating in a nation-wide reading program called the Big Read. Classes across campus – and across the country – are reading and discussing the same book: Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston.
Any GCC community members interested in reading this book have an opportunity to – we have many free copies available in the library.
Additionally, there is an abundance of information to enrich your understanding of the novel. Check out our current displays in the Solarium and hallway outside the library, as well as our library research guide made just for this book: http://gcc.mass.libguides.com/zoranealehurston.
No matter if you read the whole book, just pieces, or put it on your “to-read” list, consider joining us on March 27th at noon for a discussion of Zora Neale Hurston’s life by her niece, Lucy Anne Hurston.
Stop by, pick up a book, and happy reading!
