Welcome to the Division of Learning Resources
GCC has many programs and services to support learning. Each meets a variety of overlapping needs in the college community. A licensed professional counselor is available for all students who wish to explore the academic and personal challenges facing them in college. Disability & Accessibility Services promotes independence and facilitates achievement of educational and vocational goals for individuals with disabilities. The Educational Technology Center serves the academic community in all disciplines by providing access to and assistance on new and emerging educational technologies; specifically, the focus of the Center’s activities is to train faculty in developing and incorporating technology in the learning environment. Human Development courses help students learn how to study successfully, pick a career that suits them, and develop skills for the job search. Instructional Technology supports student, faculty, and staff in the best use of online resources (including Moodle, GCC email, and MyGCC) through tutorials, information resources, and one-on-one support. Instructional technology also co-runs a student technology help desk service with the library. The GCC Library serves the study and research needs of a diverse group of teachers and learners by providing a variety of services, collections, and technology. The Peer Tutoring Program provides individual tutoring for most courses. Peer tutors help other students explore ways to study and problem-solve, and they apply these strategies to specific course assignments. The Professional Development blog highlights resources and opportunities, inside and outside of GCC, for both faculty and staff development. The Women’s Resource Center is a place for women to gather, study, and take part in non-credit workshops.
We invite you to take advantage of all that Learning Resources has to offer, both online and at our location in the Core of the Main Building.
