US Military questions efficacy of Power Point

If the US military is questioning the overuse of Power Point slides, should classroom instructors also re-think the use of Power Point? A recent NY Times article raises the issue about the use and usefulness Power Point presentations–too simplistic for complex issues, too hypnotizing, and being ‘power pointed’ to death. It raises some questions about use in classroom teaching.
